I really like the way this thing flys! I have 3 inflight selectable profiles.
You can look at bank 0 on the computer, the others have to be loaded in vstabi and activated by the TX
Bank 0 (unused) is a copy of bank 2, my most frequently used setup. Bank 1 and bank 2 are the same except bank 1 has a little softer tail. Bank 3 (experimental) is completely different cyclic setup with the same tail as Bank 0 and 2.
Heli: Logo 600 3D, Neu 1912H/1Y, 13T, JR 8717s on cyclic, JR 8900G on tail w/Emcotec 5.2V regulator, JR 921 RX, Power Jazz with diode 0.7 volt drop on throttle input, 2S RX pack w/ 2 HD leads, Maniac 623 blades, CY 95 tail blades, FP 4350 10S & 5350 10S.
Software: AOF set for Logo 600, IC sensor set

Can you change banks mid-flight cos I think the manual says to never do this??

I do it every flight as I have been trying different settings. No twitches.

I think something is wrong with the zip file. I can;t open it without error.

It's not really a zip file, just save it and change the extension to .xml

Thanks for this John. My vbar Logo 600 is arriving soon and it's good to have other people's setups to compare with.

Hmm ok well one thing to ask that is important here John is what "main blades and tr blades" are you using, brand and size of each please and thank you for this contribution for certain.

In looking at your file quickly it looks like Danny Js' only your elevator speed is one less is all, and using default 6003D on AOF vs the 8 and 60 that they modded, for yet ot me unknown reasons. I found this setup to be ok for me on 600mm Vs and 95 on tail but still way to slow of a roll rate for me. I think we should look at a section for Vbar files specifically with radio settings etc, what you guys think?

:thinking I don't own a V-Bar and you guys lost me a long time time ago on that stuff....... OK so YES!!! Good idea Shawn!

I flew Nico's and DJ's setups for the last month, and have found this setup with the AOF to my liking. So it is similar. I am using Maniac 623s and CY 95s. The SAB 620s work well too. Blade speed has a lot to do with roll rate, I don't know what these guy are using. I am running about 2,300.

Shawn,
I flew again today, and I agree the roll rate is a little slow. I'll bump it up 5. MBs cyclic setup is even slower in the roll rate.
Do you reccommend setting the AOF to 8 and 60?

Honestly it has been weeks since I flew and I only got a couple flights on with the AOF filter installed so I can not comment really on the differences. I wish I could but 20 below weather leaves my hands shackeled. :(

Shawn, whatever happened to moving to australia . I've only just loaded the AOF and will be trying this weekend. I also love the bank switching and normally keep 1 bank for normal proven setup and then setup 2 more with experiments so i can test a couple of ideas and always know i can switch back if required. I'm trying the 600 AOF filter and hope it's right, seems to add more complexity, didnt we already have enough parameters to play with . My radio settings are pretty well default from reset and i've never tweaked anything in the radio since starting, just the V-stabi.

Shawn,
I bumped the roll rate up 5 on the 2 setups I am using, and 10 on one as well. 5 points extra on DJ's cyclic works well, but needs a little extra stop. MB's cyclic worked well with the extra 5. The setup with 10 would require some other tweaks:shock:. Let me know what you think of MB's cyclic setup. Also tried the 8/60 in the AOF and can't tell anything.

John let me ask first when you say bumped up 5 or 10, do you mean you added 5 or 10 to your endpoint of aileron? Or do you mean cyclic speed in the paramter page?
Sorry bud I can not fly here for awhile, -23 today, that is abit to cold to fly :(.

I changed the Vstabi parameters, all TX settings are 100%.

Can I ask are you able to acheive 8 degrees minimal for aileron and elevator cyclic? I only ask as I was told specifically to ensure you have at least 8 degrees and no less as you can have a blow out of sorts. To my knowledge you can not get more "throw" // endpoints by using the software, I could be wrong here in my thinking...

Shawn,
TX% and Vstabi Collective are both 100%. I get 8 degrees cyclic and 12 collective.
Good question. MB's file shows 105% Vstabi collective. Perhaps, cyclic as fraction of gain, can be increased through the Vstabi collective. Maybe we should ask the guru what parameters if any can change cyclic throw.

I believe amount of cyclic can be increased/decreased in the expert swash panel. On the left bottom under "Cyclic Gain". Default is 100.
Edit: I just took a look and MB file has Cyclic Gain at 109 and as you stated Collective at 105. So he has increased the throw on both.

Hmm I can't say for sure but I would have to hook it up to see if that moves more throw, I do not think so though, I am 95% certain your throws are all done by your endpoints in your tx.

Just increased my cyclic gain and it does give you more cyclic angle on the swash. My Tx endpoints are all 100% and never adjusted from the beginning.

So you guys run your endpoints at 100% then you are using your cyclic gain and this increases throw for "both" aileron and elevator movements is this correct?

I will give it a fly tommorrow. This were throwing the switch inflight could become intresting!

I was under the impression that Cyclic speed was used to adjust your cyclic travel. Well at least that is what I got from the Wiki.... :)
