My cam finally came in the Mail today.
Just want the know if anyone has used it and had problems incerting the 2 Gig SD Card. It wouldn't recognize mine until I reformatted it in FAT32.
I had it formatted in NTFS and I kept getting an Error on Card insertion.
Anyways.

I plugged it up on the TREX600 and shot it up about 200 Feet. There was no shaky shaky video like most people. It was smooth as glass. !!!:YeaBaby:

Either I got very lucky, or my Rex runs very smooth.. I'm hoping its the later.

Anybody have any good Ideas on how to maunt the Cam. It came with a buch of Accesories. Its mounted on the left skid and i have to put right trim on it.
thanks!!

I have one, but haven't mounted it yet... too cold up here anyway to fly. I plan on mounting it under the nose (battery tray?)...maybe sticking out a little from the nose. so it's centered .

Can you upload the video somewhere? I'd like to see it.

I plan on doing that tonight.
The CAmera only comes with 32 megs of memmory.
I have the 2 GIG card formatted to FAT32 verses NTFS. I got that part up late last night. Needless to say I only had a couple 30 second clips.
Today when I get home I'll be able to video for 2 hours straight, If I can keep in the Air that long,, :YeaBaby:
I should get a nice 4 - 5 1/2 minute flight with it tonight.
I'll post in on Youtube.

Here's where I mounted mine, I had it under the frame and got too much vibration and also only pictures directly in front of the heli. This way you get a little downward angle on the camera.

Has anyone got a short full-res clip to show how clear the picture is before "youtubing"? Several of us are looking at these but can only find low-res clips. It can be of anything :)

I'm currently uploading to Youtube,
After looking at the video, my better judgement on video hit me.
As I hovered at approx 200 feet, when the cam hit the sun the video started chopping a little. The nex one that I post on Youtube, I plan on using a UV and CPL filter for the sun. CPL (Circular Polarized Lense) Filter/:thumbup:

Hey Pete, I forgot to tell you. I bought mine off of Amazon.com for $85, not including the memory card. It comes with everything else you need.

I've been trying to upload to Youtube for the last two hours,
I've shrunk the video from 118 Megs to 30 megs,,
I keep drropping the router on upload, I'm going to have to work this one out when the band width is a little wider.
Sorry about that.

That's a REALLY GREAT idea  I didn't even think of mounting it there!

Bad luck but to be fair, with trees and a mailbox, you haven't given yourself much room. We all started in the beginning. Keep it up but do find a bigger back yard!!!

:thumbup:I've only been flying for about 5 months now.
I start in the yard to get the feel for it.
Yesterday when I was at the park , I reailzed that it was even getting to small..
Taking some baby steps with this one.
This weekend I'm going to fly around the Army in Dallas, They have a pretty big field and lots of Army trucks and some soldiers.
I don't think anybody there is into Helis. The few people that I've had over from the Unit get this amazed look on their fac ewhen they see it fly,
I think it will be Great. I'll post that one on Youtube probably Sunday Afternoon.

I think when you start flying there, you will get more people interested in flying. Be prepared to answer a lot of questions.

Yes he was a little jumpy, but not to bad. That's my kid Kevin on the Camera,
I don't think he's to afraid of anything considering what I caught him doing last summer. Kevin and some of his friends thought that it would be a good idea to find a mattress in the woods on a dirt road in Quinlant, tie a 60 foot rope to the back a pickup truck and go mattress surfing down this down road. I didn't find out about until I found the camera they were using to film the whole thing in the Kitchen,,
I wasn' t that funny at the time. I think I still have the video somewhere.. Crazy kid sometimes..

I also hope that they don't ask to many questions at the Armory this weekend. But I do bet it will be a blast:YeaBaby:

I shot a couple photos from the TREX450 this morning.
I had a lilttle Boo Boo with the TREX600 last night, I had to use the TREX450.
On the TREX600 I lost orientation due to the time of day ,, It was getting pretty dark. I won't do that again. I had a Hard Nose Dive.. The padding that I used on the LIPO saved the Battery. If that Heli can take a full speed nose dive crash and not even damage the LIPO, I could be on to somthing..
