not to hihack the thread, but i was spacing out my flybar last night (xes), just trying to measure each side so they are even, and i loosened the two grub set screws on the flybar carrier and i could not get the bar to move more then 1 cm in each direction. i pushed and pulled pretty hard but no dice. is there somthing i'm missing? it's just the two set screws to get the bar out? luckily the little movement i had was enough to get it set right, but i shudder to think about dismantling the whole head to change the bar.
The grub screws have chewed up the flybar a little, the flybar is pretty soft. You will just have to pull real hard to get it apart, then file down the rough part to reintall. Happens all the time...it can be a real pain in some cases.

One thing you may try is to take one of the paddles off and tap on the end of the flybar with pair of pliers or something similar while holding the head assembly in your other hand. I have to do this quite often when I crash my T-Rex and bend the flybar up. I can hand straighten it and then tap the end with any type of small hammer device and it will slide on out.
And to keep this post related to the thread, I have a XES Pro with Airtronics 94761Z servos all around with 401 gyro and 600+ Century motor. I haven't been flying long but this thing is a blast. It blows away my rex with a 430xl motor. The bad thing is I can't use my T-rex batteries with this set-up, it will kill them.
I might need to see about getting one of the metal seesaw holders. I didn't realize mine was plastic.

I already got the CNC seesaw but I have a b-day coming up in April so I will be placing another order then. Top of my list is the CNC tail and now, carbon tail boom. Oh, and whatever the evil HeliDirect tempts us with between now and then. Don't they understand we are weak and have now rational control of our 'Heli Spending'. :)

$17 for a cf boom is a great price. you'll be getting some of my $ soon, as i need a cnc seesaw and that boom would look purty on her!

One of the main reasons I opted for the Gaui was the price of the repair and hop-up parts. I liked the Logo but repair parts would break me. The Huri 550 repair parts are not much more than T-Rex 450 parts. I like that.

can you tell me is the can size the same on all the z-20's I am looking at the 980 Kv motor and it doesn't have the size like the rest

Yes all Z20 are same size. Diameter of the can is 43mm, length of the can is 50mm, only the length of the shaft is a bit longer for the Z20A 980KV

Does the standoff on the tail rotor hub (of your CNC one) pass through the bearings or does it stop on the inner racer of the bearing? In other words does it solve the problem that finless raises in the tail modification video for the 550?
Thanks.

I just got the CNC tail from Helidirect
http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=281&products_id=5869
The standoff on the tail rotor hub pass through and gets out the bearings, when I rotate the standoff and holding the hub I could see the spiral of the standoff, where the screw gets in, that is rotatting.
I recently got the Z20 A with the RevCo gears and as soon as I will install and try it with higher head speeds I will let you know if it binds (tail kick). I think it’s should not have a problem as its very vice upgrade.

Steve,
Does this support the bigger main gear / non-multi-gear arrangement or is this simply an alternative to the current transmission. Any chance of a piccie of it assembled.
Thanks,
Mike.

Mike,
This is a conversion frame kit for the current Guai 550 plastic frame.
Currently we are working on a new heli the HDX550 with a single stage drive system which houses a 0.7mod 140t main gear with a 4.64:1 tailrotor ratio

And guys, what is the final weight of the frames? Could you compare it with plastic one?

My Prototype frame in G-10 with aluminum parts is 20grams lighter that stock plastic no bearings no screws CF will be even lighter

Thanks Charlie!
One more question, when we should expect hdx550 and could we use a single stage drive system frame later on for hurricane ???
