One more question, when we should expect hdx550 and could we use a single stage drive system frame later on for hurricane ???
Time frame is not certain yet hoping to have prototypes by early February, I think it will be possible to use some of your hurricane stuff on HDX550 you may need a couple of items for the conversion

Does this support the bigger main gear / non-multi-gear arrangement or is this simply an alternative to the current transmission. Any chance of a piccie of it assembled.

No doubt you are busy but it seems to me it would make sense to figure out what it takes and offer a conversion bundle: frame + minimum set of bits needed to convert from Hurricane550 to HDX550. I am sure that would appeal to many especially if the frame addresses some of the issues of the plastic frame.
