Booked into the microtel also.

It's filling up, all they had left were queen bed smoking rooms.

Can I ever get an event with out rain? Statesboro, Birmingham, I'm thinking I might just have to hotel this entire weekend and not even break out the tent.

Your new girlfriend must've taken some of your manhood Brian. The 'cool' kids will be tenting it again this event. :YeaBaby:

Well, we will be by the action at all times though. You are right about the weather; at Birmingham, we ended up dodging (or at least trying to) the Fri. night weather.

Well people are starting to roll in, there are already 4 campers onsite and things are looking great for the weekend.

The local weather forecast is calling for a small chance of showers overnight on Friday and into early Saturday morning and sunny by noon, temps will be around 75 for Fri, Sat and 80 0n Sunday.

You guys are hardy souls. That storm at B-Ham was the closest thing to a tornado I have ever experienced. It was lucky for all of us camping the wind blew in the direction it did, if it was 90 degrees different we probably would have had some campers turned over.

You guys are tough for sure. I doubt there is going to be any storms like that this weekend. You should be fine. If it gets that bad, I am sure you can find floor space with someone at the MicroTel.

Braving a tornado vs. sleeping on a hotel floor ....

I think I'd stand a better chance against mother nature. :YeaBaby:

Does anyone else here always seem to break their helicopter a few days before the event??? :arggg:

Caleb, I bought some 10inch steel tent pegs so maybe our tent won't blow away in the next tornado. Well, maybe not a tornado...

Wesley put his new HFE 8S Rex in on Tuesday, LG, Bottom frame, canopy, TT gears, tail boom, and fin. Worst part was that 2 of the 5245 cases broke. Hard to find! Big Al hopes to have some in today....but I also placed an overnight order from Tower so we'll have cases before we head to Huntsville this afternoon! :smokin:
