I own a Futaba T6EX transmitter, the same that the new RealFlight G4 controller replicates; when you get the T6EX you can replace the little plate behind the throttle stick with one with less restrictions for heli flying, it gave me the idea to do the same mod to my G4 transmitter!

The plate doesn't come with the controller, but modifying the existing one for heli needs is a piece of cake, and much appreciated when comes time to practice 3D manouevers!!

Simply unscrew the back plate by unscrewing the 4 screws in the deep holes (requires a Phillips #2 screwdriver), take off the plate and locate the little stainless plate behind the throttle stick, it's held by one #1 phillips head screw. The way i proceeded, i took the plate off, flattened the notch by half with pliers, and gave a little curve to the plate and reinstalled it. Turn the controller around and check out the feeling on the stick before closing the back panel, its quite easy to give it the prefered feel by just giving more or less curve to the plate, even while in place.

I personally love that mod...

_Zef, are you referring to how notchy the throttle stick on the G4 controller is when you fist get it? Because I jus got G4 and I notice that it is very notchy, which would be good for planks, not so good for helis I think, plus it feels way different than my actual radio.
