What are the proper satellite module and flight log to work with the R921 receiver? Do you have to use the Spektrum versions with these?

Versus what?
Spektrum or JR should be fine, as they are the same thing.

Maybe it's just a fashion thing, but I was thinking of trying to get matching satellites. One flame red and one gray just didn't seem quite right.
At a minimum, I just wanted to make sure they worked. If they're the same thing, then why two products?

Spektrum uses JR radios for their base. The DX6 is a JR 662 and the DX7 is a JR 7202. JR uses Spektrum for the RF section of the X9303. So they are cross bred. :)
