hey guys i have a JR Vigor 60 (non ccpm)that i am turning into a scale md500 with a 5 blade head and the multi blade tail... my question is do i really need the helitronix mixer board b/c its not ccpm?? and if so what model (there is 3 diff ones)... or can i get away with just using 2 401 or 240gyros??? also are these multi blade heads hard to set up??? im looking at getting the century diamond 5 blade head... is this a good head?? should i use the century swash plate or the vario??? like i said im new to the scale multi blade stuff so any help would be great thanks guys

You might want to check out www.scalerchelis.com (http://www.scalerchelis.com)

There's a lot of info over there on multi-blade heads. The Century head is definitely not the most popular... The best seem to be the Vario and OF heads.

If you have one servo on the pitch axis and one servo on the roll axis, you should be able to use two gyros without a mixer. Just run them inline, and oriented to the proper axis, like you do on the tail. You don't need to use high-end gyros, a rate gyro is fine, and actually preferred.

AFAIK, Helitronix is currently making only one mixer, the others are discontinued.
