My starter shaft is scared up due to the coupler slipping. I would like to change it out, but since i traded a bike for the heli which was already put together I'm not sure the best way to do it. Looks like i have to take the frame apart which i'd like to avoid. If somebody knows of a easy way could they let me know.
Thanks

Don't know which Raptor are you talking about but at least on the big birds you need to remove the starter coupling, drop the engine and try to tap the shaft gently down, it should come down with the e clip at the bottom.
If the shaft is badly scarred it might not come out and if you tap it too hard you run the risk of damaging the bearings, in that case I guess the safest way is to get the whole assembly down (and for that the proper way would the to open up the frames)
The other way I'm just thinking of is to upwards, get the engine out, remove the e clip and pull the whole shaft up.
May be somebody else have a better answer, I only did this once.

thanks for the help. I had to dremel it to clean it up but came out easy after that.
