View Full Version : Need part number for smooth throttle ratchet for Futaba 6EX Tx
I just got Real Flight G4 and the new interlink controller is based on a Futaba 6EXA radio. I downloaded a good T-rex 450 model for the sim but I am having trouble maintaining a steady hover with the ratcheted throttle. On one notch the heli drops and the next notch it keeps rising. I figure if I can just buy the smooth throttle spring I can swap it in the controller and should be good to go (did this for my DX7 - it was a JR part number somebody posted for me :) )
Thanks!

Just flip the spring over and screw it back down. that will put the V notch up so ti will be smooth and still have the propper amount of drag.
I opened it up and found that the "spring" is a L shaped piece so only fits one way. I put it in a vise and flattened out the bump then put shrink tube over it. I also sanded the ratchet bumps some and put some white grease on them. It smoothed it out pretty well and about the same tension as the right stick.
It flys the helis much better now... :)

On both of my RealFlight transmitters, I just loosen the screw that holds the spring & add a piece of fuel tubing over it, then adjust the tension to suit. No permament damage, incase you may want to sell it later.
