I'm seriously considering getting a 2nd Mini Titan...still not sure if I want to make the jump to Nitros at this point.
Anyone have 2 Mini Titans? Why did you do it? Any thoughts/ opinions appreciated.

Well I just purchased my first mini titan today, have not received it yet but I am very excited. I was wondering what setup as far as electronics you chose for your first mini titan to fly well and to inspire you to want a second, cuz it must be pretty darn good. Thanks for any info and I would buy 2 of anything if I liked it!

Thanks,
Jim

I had 2 at one time... Sold all my heli's getting out of the hobby... But I'm back now and building up my fleet again. I got the second one because no place had parts in stock when they first came out ( not like now theirs parts all over) replaced the parts I stile on the new one for 2. Their great heli.'s very stable I've had Align's as well both are great heli.'s but the MT is more stable feeling right out of the box with all the same setup .. IMO... As for electronics I ran the stock motor and esc in the one and an Align motor and esc in the second. I ran HS-65hb's in all along with Logictec 2100T and a 9650 servo for the tail.... FP evo 3s packs and a 9303 on Spektrum....

I run the following on my MT...

Futaba GY401 gyro with 9650 servo
JR DS285 servos for the swash
Spektrum DX7 with AR6100 microlite receiver
Thunder Power 2200 mAh Extreme V2 Li-Po
Stock TT motor and ESC

Hi,

I'm intending to own to mini titans very soon. The reason?

I'm upgrading my original mini titan bit by bit to build a Mini Titan SE (using an aftermarket carbon frame). I should only have to buy an extra $40 worth of parts to build another mini Titan.

Thought it would be cool to still have a stock mini titan for messing about and trying more risky stuff as this machine handles extremely well without any upgrades.

The main reason people own two identical heli's is to have a backup when they crash in competitions (both would be setup 100% identical). I suppose if you crash a lot then that would also be a good reason to have two to allow you to get more flights in (albeit being tough on your wallet!).

Another good thing about having one type of heli is that spares often come in pairs nowadays so you should quickly get a nice inventory of parts to keep you going.

If you dont crash much then I couldnt see the point in having two identical heli's though.

My 2c,

it's smarter to build a Minititan with good upgrades in the right places, saves weight and money.
And use that MiniTitan as practise heli, and spend the rest on a different (bigger) heli.
I left some weak spots in some places for minor crashes or tip overs.
If you crash really hard it's a total loss anyway.
Placed the standard Kasama head and still use the plastic lower mixer arms and swash.
replaced the tail fin with a carbon version (that part is really to weak imo).
And use the plastic tail belt pulley, it will brake! but not the tail rotor, and that's exactly what you want.
If you have a minor crash the alu parts are unharmed and the total cost will almost never exceed 30$
I crashed just once this summer btw :)...

I have two of 'em but I keep the other for spares, hate having to wait for parts when I am having fun .
