Hi great forum
I only get around 5 minutes of air time on my Li-Po packs on my CX2.
I both use the original and two Duremax packs, all 7.4 v 800 mAh.
Should I not be able to expect more than just 5 minutes pr. pack?
I use the original charger and balancer to charge my batteries, and I do not over discahrge them.
Thanks in advance
Peter
PS: Would it make any sense to lubricate the main gear on a CX2?

Low flight times.
Batteries or charger?
Binding or lack of lube?
Weight to much from add ons?
motors worn out?
these are the main things to check for.

Hi Po1
Two of the batteries are brand new, so I doubt they are to blame.
I am flying with the training gear, but it weighs close to nothing.
Lubrication? I must admit, I have no clue what to use?
Thanks

same here approx 5 mins even with my new evolite pack.
the heli can barely stay up when i finally give up and set her down. check the voltage on the batteries and it is NEVER below 7.4
whats causing this?
bringing home some white lithium grease and will lube all bearings.......will let ya know if it makes a difference.

You have something binding in the drive train, OR, you have a problem with your blades.
Most of the time, this is caused by a bent outer shaft, inner shaft or both.
I have also seem brand new E-Flite replacement blades that were made incorrectly and did not have enough pitch.
Your motors could be going out. How many flights on this Heli?

for me....dont think its bent shafts, wouldn't i notice a wobble? she's pretty steady.
i did not lube her up yet but did 2 tests 1 in the back yard with a dn battery and 1 in the front yard with stock battery but higher elevations pretty much the same result.
i will lube her up soon (had to deal with cp maintence issues tonight) but i am thinking it maybe the motors as you suggest. if i replace them you think i should put the extreme 180 bearing motors in?
flghts, havent really kept track but i'm guessing i have right around 100 flights on these stock motors.

Yeah, get the X180 motors. Also check your gears for missing teeth if you haven't already.
You may or may not notice the wobble. It depends on how it's bent and by how much.

I think my CX2 has about 50 flights logged, but after I changed to a "professional" Hyperion charger things looks a lot better.

A better charger definitely does a better job of charging and balancing your packs. I agree.
