Hi all

In short, can fly the Phoenix simulator with the (limited) transmitter that comes with a E-flite CX2?

I have ordered a Blade 400 3D RTF, that comes with the pretty advances Spektrum DX6i, that I guess is supported, but I would like to to start to practise before I receive my new baby.

Thanks in advance

Peter

If i remember correctly we did test it in our shop a while ago and it worked. I will just double-check when our Phoenix stock comes in this week, and reply if no-one else answers.

Yes! I had been using my DX7 but decided that I was advanced enough (barely) that the feel of the radio was less important than saving wear and tear on the DX7. So, I've been using my CX2's radio for a couple of weeks. It works with the standard JR-style plug on the Phoenix dongle.

Great - thanks to both of you. :-)

It comes w/ a CX2 Tx preset. I made a copy of that preset and dialed in some expo, and moved throttle to the knob, so I can use it with 3D helis.

So I have a CX2/Fixed-Pitch setup and can select a 3D setup, depending what heli I'm flying.

Have fun.

I'm planning to buy this sim and would like to use my CX2's Spektrum radio also. Do I need to buy any additional plugs and is the Phoenix dongle included?

pd417: I sent you a reply to your PM.

For the benefit of the rest of the folks, the sim comes with all cabling necessary to use the JR and Spektrum radios, including the CX2's F5DSM2 radio and the DX7. The only time you'd need to purchase an additional adapter is if you were using a non-JR/Spektrum radio, e.g. a Futaba.
