Does a shorter flybar on my cx2 relate to a quicker response and just how short can I go?

Yes, more agile, but less stable.

Someone else may know of a firm minimum limit, but I do not. If you want to try it, start by cutting off 10 mm from each end and then attach a flybar weight collar. Keep cutting until you're happy. If you cut too much and the Heli goes nutso on you, go buy a new flybar and cut it to your last "good" length.

Note that you can obtain some of the same effect by getting rid of the plastic bumpers with the brass weights, cut the flybar off at the bend and then simply attach a flybar collar. Moving the collar weight closer to the rotor head makes it more responsive as well and you can then play around with the setting until you find what you like and then cut the flybar afterwards.

i've played around with the extreme core/blades upgrade with not much consistency. i do have the shorter extreme flybar on, maybe i should just mess with pulling the weights in a bit at a time for more agile flying??

funny i am trying to make the cx2 more agile and the cp pro less....maybe i will find a happy medium some day.

So you already have a shorter flybar and it is not agile enough for you? Then the only thing you can do is to move the weights closer to the rotor hub.

Pull the weights off and fly with the rubber bumpers only and jump to the second hole on your servo horns.
