I've posted a couple of videos of the Electric Observer flying.

This is the prototype, testing different motors, gearing, batteries, etc.

I guess electrics aren't all bad....:)

Chris,

That's sure a smoothy! Did Rex at Millenium Cell get back with you? Those guys seem pretty motivated to power one of our Observers. So hurry up and get that motor sorted out and a conversion kit done. :thumbs-up2:

I called the two different numbers AND sent an e-mail, haven't heard from him yet.

Chris,

I will see what's going on. We are electrifying a Rascal 110 UAV conversion soon, and will probably use his technology on that bird. We'll keep you in the loop for an Observer conversion.

He chris got a question, Looking to go with a gasser, was sold on the century condor because i had a hawk pro and didnt know anything about helis intell i found bergens web site. Wow! these seem to be helis of high quality, The condor seems to be larger and come with all the goodies but once i checked out your intrepid gas eb i was sold. And it was $500 cheaper, I need to somehow become sales rep for your company. If not for a hobby shop opening up in town i didn't know these helis exsisted, they are awsome, i purchased my hawk 3 months ago and have shown most of my customers (high end home theater customers) they are blown away and did not know anything like this was out there! They are wanting to get into the hobby now. Their is just not a lot of advertising or info about these big helis, the only reason i got hooked is because of these micro helis on tv, what a joke compared to the big helis. You fly one of these beast at a park and you talk about a attention getter. Thanks and will be owning a bergen soon.

I think someone owes me a T-shirt ;)

That would be awesome. We could throw away all our gas engines, if that works out.

Kool, until you gotta change batteries, I guess.

How safe are those manganese batteries to charge on the frame?

Well, according to the Duralite ad, they are NOT flammable, at least as not as bad as LI-poly's. The only reason I remove them is because I have to charge off of my Truck Battery.
