Great event this spring even though me and my buddy had some heli problems, I still had a good time there. I wont soon forget Alan's head button skid down the runway. Im sure it will be even nicer with the Oct weather. Count me in. Hopefully the Kennett gang and Arkansas guys will make it too.

Arkansas will be represented, but hopefully some good pilots from down here will be there too.

I guess I missed the party. I think I went to Fudruckers for a giant cheeseburger.

Heck, if the Copterbum comes, there will be a good pilot there from Ark!
From what I hear, you're progressing very well and will pass this ol fart real soon. If we can get a can of that "Whump proof" spray and coat our helis with it we can really start to rock n roll
The folks with the big tent, and DJ quality sound system were from Springfield (and surrounding area) I'm betting they will be at the Spgfld event in full force. Great bunch to hang out with. We were right next to them all week and had a ball.

All I can say to that is "Little Bites!" Also I'm developing a "beach ball canopy." Just insert your heli and blow it up and fly. When you hit the ground it just bounces. Trouble with it is, its not very aerodynamic and the dog keeps running off with it....

Who is going from the southeast?

DavidH

Right now it will depend on how high the price of gas gets and the availability. It went up 12 cents a gallon here yesterday. Friend of mine that owns a Chevron store told me yesterday. That is distributor told him it would be in the mid to high $3 range by late next week. Looks like this time we may break the $4 mark around here for 87 octane. At that rate it would cost me $400 to drive to event and back.

I hear you David. Gas is already 3.29 here, it is being rationed at 25.00 per sale maximum and it already at 3.29 a gallon. Many stations are already out of gas and they say it could be 2 weeks before they get any more.

Thank God the hurricane was lessening in strength before it hit, last I heard it was down to cat 3. That is a miracle considering it was a strong cat 5 just 2 days ago!

Have you heard from Ron Lund or any of our fellow Heli Flyers down that way? I hope all of them are OK!
