Hi guys..

For the last week or so now I have not been able to fly due to bad weather, we have had really strong winds, I did take her up for a short while but it really was to windy and if I had carried on I would of lost it , I just checked the weather for the rest of the week and it looks rubbish . . .

is it only me or do all of you struggle for good air time during the winter..

A good part of the US is unable to fly or unwilling during the winter months as it just gets bone chilling cold. Good time to invest in a great sim!

I too feel the pain living in Florida, today it's 65 degrees and sunny with a slight 6mph breeze. I think I will take a long sleeve shirt instead of a t-shirt.

LOL...sorry!

I hear you.

For my work I have to be there 14 days a month. I then get 2 weeks off every month so it seems I work 6 months a year. I am always looking for a good flying day during the winter of those 2 week periods and never seem to get one. As soon as I return to work for 2 weeks its always calm, sunny. Damn that Murphys law.

My Rex is sitting by the door wanting to go out. I have a week off work and these 25mph winds are just typical!

Well out here in Cali.....................

We can get away with flying almost year round. Every now and then we get some rain that keeps us on the ground. And well when its to windy for the helis We just bust out the slope soares and head off to the coast and do some flying. Cant wait for the storm fronts to blow in will be havin the slopers ready for sure nothing better then a nice storm front i like the winds to be atleast 25mph and up. :YeaBaby:

For those of you that cant fly during the winter I'm sorry dont know what I would do.:arggg: maybe thats what i would do hahaha. :rolling:YeaBaby:

I've always flown all year round in the UK but with the almost continuous rain for the whole summer and the last few weeks of wind/rain this is probably the worst year I can remember for many a long time. I've got a transmitter muff I bought last year so I can even cope with a little light rain and cold windy weather but it aint as much fun! To make matters worse I'm trying to finish a scale Highes 500E and I can only spray outside - aaarrrgghh!

I know what you guys mean, I hate winters!

I remember when I first started flying, I flew through the first couple of winters, and there would always be the usual group of suspects down the field wrapped up in our thermals, occasionally removing our gloves for a short flight. Then it would rain and we would cover up our models before rushing to take cover in our cars – nightmare!!

Come on summer :glasses2:

checked the weather today and it is not looking great for the week... with a bit of luck should have a few calm days.. I dont mind the clod so much it is the gale force wind and rain which is the biggest issue.

The BBC's 5 day weather forecast for me is awful :(

I've just finished building a little EDF jet too which I was hoping to fly
