I just put my 3d pro together last week!! What a cool little machine, so agile.I still have a vibration I need to get out, any thoughts on where to start?
I did not balnace the blades or anything, I thought they might be cg and balanced already but this may not be..Please post here with any thoughts.
Also is there any other CF blades that i can use on this bird that may have been used on another machine?Upgrades?
I posted in another thread that I used an airplane nose wheel bearing for the gyro tray and it has worked out great!
By the way,I love the forum!!

GWS receivers...... Aargh !!!!! I could never get mine to work right on my Shogun. I got some ferrite beads and toroids, but never tried them before I got rid of the heli. JR or Berg receivers are the "cat's meow" !

VooDoo, Since you hadn't mentioned it....Have you looked into your blade tracking for your vibration? My 3-D blades tracked off by more than 1/8 " therefore causing some vibration especially at lower headspeads Dave

Actually i did track the blades. they were off just a little bit--but i got them dead on right now..however i did cg and balance the blades on my own--its easy enough to do --but a blade balancer would have made things a bit easier. my cg was off a little, not too much, but hey, it's a small chopper a little is a lot..after that i balanced the blades and it seems to be better.
I was told that the blades that come with these little choppers are really of high quality even for wood blades.I also believe that my tail rotor blades are a little out of balance as well.So i guess i'll be getting that blade balancer after all

Just out of curiosity....has anyone tried the less expensive full symetrical blades that Century advertises? I bought 2 sets but haven't tested them yet......any tips would be appreciated. Dave
