Yup, reserved mine from the NZ importer this morning :banana. His Align email says the order should be on the way at the end of the week / early next week.

Christmas might just be early :) but I'll believe it when I see it... after all, this is Align we are talking about. Optimism takes you only so far...

I would be concerned how many each shop will be getting.... I know how the 600's went out..... Everyone gets a share of the shipment. In the end dont count the chicken until it arrives ;)

I've got #2 in the first shipment... :YeaBaby: The importer has #1 - I'll let him do that.

But again, I'll believe it when I see it. I still have my doubts that it will be before Christmas. The english language within Align emails have some element of guesswork involved. Still, I think it's coming and thats all that counts!!!

Are any of your concerned that the first batch of 500's may be "buggy". The only reason I ask is because I wanted to dive in and get one as soon as it came out but I decided I would wait and see how it all went first before I bought one. Let everyone test it out before I got one so to speak.

There are bound to be a couple of issues for the first little while. I guess it depends on how badly you want to be first,

In my case, I really won't be able to fly it until the Spring (March). I'll probably hold off until the guys in warmer areas give it a good workout and the parts supply is better established.

I'll be getting one but not straight away as i want the 'bugs' to surface and get fixed first. Love my Aligns but the last 2 heli releases (450v2 and 600n) have had things that needed to be 'upgraded'. Also the price will drop once supply catches up.

I would definitely wait and see all the pro's opinions and Bob's video before I consider to buy one. As a noob myself, anything that broaden the knowledge will help :-D

I think shooting a couple of autos during the first flight might be a good idea tho. Lets just wait and see what they bring us.

This is the first time I have been anywhere near the front of the queue. Don't spoil it for me!!!

Well with all the helis out allready, and the fact that they should have learned enough with all the ones they did so far I doubt there are going to be any big issues really. All it is, is well... a scaled down 600, nothing more really. Slightly different canopy is all. The frame layout, the tail everything else is pretty much a 600 in design from every picture I saw.

Any Idea how long it might take to put up the Trex 500 video's, hopefully you will get one soon........I can't say enough how important your vid's are, pretty much changed the hobby as far as I'm concerned.

I reserved mine 2 weeks ago :) and from a reliable source here in the US, each shop will most likely only be gettin 2 500's in the first shipment batch

It would be pretty stuipid of align not so send him one.
