hi there,
my brother just bought a new dx7 and it seems that the aileron channel is not working at all,
i have gone into the service menu and set the stick travel stuff,
but still get nothing out the aileron channel?
i seem to be able to trim it, but when i put some stick in i get nothing?
any ideas?
is it an easy replacement part if i need to change something?

Horizon is pretty quick with repairs but I find it odd that it is not working at all brand new.
Service menu? Why would you have to go into that?

What does the servo monitor screen show? This can help quickly diagnose if the problem is a the Transmitter end, or not.

My new DX7 recv had the throttle channel not work. Then a few days later the Aux and Gyro stopped finally they all stopped.... I sent it in and they replaced it.... Just cause it is new doesn't mean it aint broke apparently....

Don't get offended if you are not a noob, but have you set you swash type in the system menu? The aileron and elevator servos need to be mixed.

hello all,
yea servo monitor shows no movement at all.
and i am in an acro setup, so no swash mix.
was in teh service menu to make sure weird end points where nto set (to check if the ends where set to center)
i think the variable resistor is cooked,
i have opened it up and measured the resiustamce across the pot and get very different readings to the pot that does work.

Mine was similar...had decent readings on the one recv pins but not the other...however my screen DID show movement...make sure the TX servo screen is showing a change first...

Perhaps go to a totally "clear" or "reset" model memory and then check out the servo monitor screen? If not working there, probably time to call (or send to) factory service.
