How is the interchangeability of parts between the Vigor and Vibe?

From what I've read most parts are the same. The Vibe just fixes some of the problems guys had with the Vigor. For example, the vibe has a metal plate under the tail drive gear and the Vigor did not. I'm not expert but if you call a store to order parts, I'd call somewhere where they can tell you for certain.
