I've been tied up with work so apologies if this has been posted.

ReadyHeli are doing a 2 for one on the RCP 500MM carbon blades... $59.95 for a pair of the CF blades and you get a second pair free!
I was on the site buying tail blades and bearings and whatnot and saw this. WHAT a deal!... thanks ReadyHeli

I got some too... just got them delivered this week.

The RCP blades don't have the best finish in the world... but they are rigid... and a good deal at $30 a set.

How did these balance out for you? Not sure if I just got a lucky pair, but both weight and balance point were DEAD NUTS ON for the set I got with my XES. I didn't believe it, and had to measure everything twice just to make sure. :)

I do agree however that there are a few blemishes in the finish. Nothing serious, but not flawless.

Thanks,
Jason

I really apreciate the heads up on this item:D
Ordered mine yesterday along with a whole list of other stuff......
Damn can't make my self stop shopping while I'm at it.
well since we don't have a distributor of Gaui part's here in Norway, you've got to have a complete set of everything times two!
only then you can rip the sky apart without worrying about crashes and not getting parts to rebuild the machine.

The set that came with my XES, were also right on when I got them.

I haven't had a chance to get the 2 new sets out of the shipping box yet... Christmas is such a busy time of year. I will let you know if I see anything wrong with them - once I get them out and onto the balancer. Won't be until after Christmas though.

I also really apreciate the heads up on these blades. The first one I got also required no aditional weight they balanced right on! I kept checking it over and over then checked my balancer to see if something was amiss.

yea, i got a set with my xes and they were also dead-on-balls balanced out of the box! i thought maybe the table i was doing the balancing on wasn't level or something, but i checked twice and they're perfect. i was amazed. yes, they aren't the prettiest out there but imho any blade that is balanced so well from the factory must be good. how does the hurry auto with them?

Redi- heli also has the "go-Quick" blades on sale...515mm for $39.95.

finish is perfect..nice white glossy finish and mine balanced almost dead on...took i piece of scotch tape.

Only problem was they are 4mm holes. The woodies have a spacer that fits them to make 3mm...so no problem.

Have not a chance to fly them yet, but they are so nice I had to order another set to go with my CFS version.

The price discounts when you add to the cart.

I do have to say redi-heli has been one of the best on-line sites to deal with, fast shipment, good communication, and good prices...

I'm on my second set of the CF blades... busted one from the first set in an unplanned landing. Both sets have been great and they sound wonderful when you abuse the atmosphere.
I have a set of the go-Quick 515s that I'll try to test in a week or so and two more sets of the 500mm CF blades coming as part of the 2 for 1 deal.
Glad I was able to share the good news... incredible really, CF blades for my 550 for the same price as I'd pay for low cost CF blades for my Trex 450. :dance

UK & MJ - I am very interested in what you guys think of the go-Quicks, when you get a chance to fly them.

UK - when the RCPs get to you, can you let us know how your news ones are for balance?

I have all of the heli stuff put away for the holidays. The wife's second kitchen is the heli workshop in the holiday off season. No working on helis for now... kids, baking, shopping, wrapping, etc. - no time anyways ;)

No problem Phil.

If you go for the HV build, think about your gearing carefully. I think 10S LiPo is pushing the mod 0.5 gears pretty hard... it's a lot of watts going thru the gears and I'm using an 800Kv z30. A z50 probably demands mod 0.8.
I've had one melt-down / strip all the teeth experience. Probably had the mesh a tiny bit tight... but you also cannot afford to have it too loose.

thanks for the heads up, i did remember reading your post about stripping the revco gears and it has me a little concerned but we'll see how it works out, also aren't the gears already mod 0.8 on the hurri?

i may decide on converting my quick uk blinged rappy50 over to a 620E instead of using the CF hurri, but we'll see lol :D

Not if you go with the Revco gears to get better 'trueness' and also to get gear ratio correct for HV application. .. and YES I had a senior moment (well late, tired, had a drink).. I meant mod 0.6 ...
latest 'issue' is a swash separation. I'll post a new thread.

TRYED THEM OUT TODAY, PERFORMED WELL AS EXPECTED:d
Well did the next step and tried some 3d today and it went surprisingly well, did some flipps loops and rolls and some fast backwards flight.
:D:D:D
I'm really HAPPY right now:D
