RX PACKS FOR THE ION

Any of you guys flying a bec on youre ION or any Eheli you are only getting 4.8 volts to youre servos.

I figured this out when i put 601 gyros in my machines because the 601 has a voltage screen. So i came up wiht a solution i had some small 1660 rx packs (2s2p) made out of lithium cells, dimensions are 54mm long and 24 mm thick and 34mm wide
I have flown up to 6 flights wiht these packs per charge and i have only put in 600mah using a 5.1 regulator and 4 9252 sevos and 601 gyro wiht a 9251
price is 49.99
these packs are small and fit pretty much any were . also the response(more crisp) is better wiht the servos using a 5.1 or 5.4 regulator over the bec

I have tried the 5.1 and a 5.4 i like the 5.1 the best

Hi Bobby,

What BEC are you using? I am using the UBEC from Koolflightsystems.com I just checked and I am getting 5.0V, man my control systems are lightning fast and strong, I can’t think any faster, I don’t need moor volts. Plus I very much like the ease in not having separate receiver batteries any moor :mrgreen:

Russ i have 3 of the kool flight bec's 5.0volt you can buy them all because iam getting 4.8 volts on gyro screen
I have been using the battery setup w/regulator for 4 months and it works way better then the bec
