Do any of you guys have experience with them? I have them and the flybar seems loose inside it. I'm also wondering if I was sent an esky lama head instead. The flybar seem to fit better in the e-flite metal head.

most of the LAMA and CX part are pretty interchangeable...i'd say it's possible you just ended up with a badly made head.
Easy remedy to make the flybar feel a little better. Since the head is metal just grip it in some pliers and give it a little squeeze. Not too much though

It's not that easy. There's also an aluminum cap that keeps the flybar from popping off the top.

How much slop are we talking about here. Does it have slop on the two little nubbins? The flybar should be very loose and free in the head. Any binding with cause TBE!

The blue e-flite metal head has a better fit. The Xtreme ones I have seem to have more slop than the stock plastic one. The nubbins seem to not go all the way into the holes on the sides of the head unlike the blue ones.

"nubbins"? I think you mean "grub screws". :)

They are not screws. It's the little bumps on the sides of the flybar that goes into the holes on the metal head....we can change and call them nipples if you like :)

Oh, I thought you were talking about the upper head, not the flybar. I guess I need to slow down when reading the posts! :)

Here are my findings. I also have the E-flite blue metal head. The cap from the E-flite version fits on the Xtreme version. It reduced some play on the flybar and helps to keep it down. The bottom of the E-flite cap goes down lower to hold the flybar down better. However, there is still alot of play on the flybar if you twist the flybar side to side. In other words, if you mount the flybar on the Xtreme head. Looking down on the top of the head and turn the flybar left and right, it has a very siginficant play as compared to monting the flybar on the E-flite head.
Also, the "nubbins" on the side of the flybar that helps to keep it centered on the hub. These "nubbins" go in the hole on the sides of the hub to keep it in place. In the E-flite version, the nipples go into the hole in the hub. On the Xtreme version, it looks like it goes there half way.
I recently also bought the Xtreme flybar and even with that (head with all Xtreme parts) there is still alot of play.
I think the makers of the Xtreme head have to modify the cap so that it goes down deeper and modify the curvature of it so as to not allow any significant play when the flybar is moved or twisted side to side.
If E-flite extends the head of their existing metal head, it would be a better option.
