DX7 linked to X9303?

hey everyone. there's a flying field in my town and the heli instructor there uses a non 2.4ghz X9303. my question is can i have my DX7 buddyboxed to his 9303 since the cases are both JR design? i'd really like to fly with my own radio instead a something unfamiliar.

Yes, you can use a non 2.4 radio with a DX7
