Ok .. when the machine arrives has anyone got any suggestions or recomendations on what will be the engine of choice for max performance.

The YS Long Stoke (Red Head) with the Carbsmart will be the hot ticket in the near term. Me thinks anyway.

I'll agree with that... but i dont think the carbsmart on this motor is a "must" the mixture setting stays so consistent thru each of my flights, its amazing.

Not a "must have" but the title is "Ultimate" ;)
So is the YS Long Stroke putting out more torque or power than the OS 91 SZ?

What I have noticed when I see a person fly a LS Redhead is that under a load it seems to maintain its headspeed a lot better than the OS models. Not sure if it is the way the pilots that fly the YS have them set up or what but it is certainly no LESS power ;)

My Stock C-Spec (With the M60K spraybar) makes loads of power but is still extremely finicky on the mixture. I've got 10 gallons through my YS long stroke and it makes nearly as much power but has no mixture issues whatsoever. It's equal to the power of the SZ, but with more torque. If the Aurora kits ever ship, mine will have YS's in them! It's a great engine, and you don't have to spend another $300 on an aftermarket carb to fly it all day long...

i'm running +/- 16* of pitch on my avant FX w/ the programmable head, swinging 690 TST v's and this just barely bogs the YS91SR w/ the hatori pipe just barely.

Whats the point asking, is there is anything called aroura ultimate, as far as i know its just a dream that might come true within 2 weeks i guess
