Hey guys.. I'm writing to find out if anyone out there has had any success running Realflight on an Intel Mac with either Bootcamp or V2fusion? I haven't purchased a sim as of yet because I'm currently running a Power PC G5 Mac, which I know won't run Windows software, but if I purchase a new machine for my sim, I'd like to get a Macbook Pro so I can also run other applications. I know Realflight claims that it won't work and that it has to be a Windows PC, but I don't see how it wouldn't, considering the fact that with V2Fusion, you're not running an emulation program... you're running Windows natively. And with it being an Intel chipset, and all or most all of other Windows-based software is running fine, I really can't see why they say that it can't be done.

Anyways.... if anyone has any experience with doing this or whatnot, I'd appreciate any guidance that you can offer explaining if it does or doesn't work. Thanks!!!

Bootcamp. Search on the Knife Edge Forums (http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/index.php?) for RealFlight on Macs; there is plenty of info over there to get you started.

I am running BootCamp on my Imac 24" and fly my G3.5 almost every night. No problems at all. This is with Windows XP sp2.

Yep, bootcamp & XP sp2 on my MBP 2.4 core 2 duo. Note this was the 8600M video card also. Note, you also asked about virtualizing software, these probably won't work, as the graphics card portion is fairly poor state at the moment, ie you may be able to run it, but at an unacceptable rate.
