So my previous helis have been a Blade CX2, and an AXE CP.
Ive been wanting to go gas for a long time so i finally bit the bullet when i found a complete deal on ebay. Anyway i picked up a...

Hirobo SCEADU Evolution helicopter, Assembled but never flow, that includes
-OS max 32 SX-H engine
-R XP6102 6-Channel Computer Radio
-4 ds537 servos
-1 nes 810 g servo
-rechargeable nicad battery
-co-pilot flight stabilization system with gyroscope
-thunder tiger start up set - 12v fuel transfer pump and tank - 12v high torque model engine starter - os max starter rod and recharger

Now my questions are how should i break in the motor, and how do i go about setting up the radio?
Ive been reading up on the "co-pilot flight stabilization system" and that sounds really cool. When he says "co-pilot flight stabilization system with gyroscope" is he meaning just a standard gyro? In the pictures you can see the co-pilot on the tail, and the gyro ahead of that.

Well I am no fan of the co-pilot myself so I will leave that alone. But it has it's own gyro.

For breakin I would suggest at least 3 tanks. Light hover land. Light hover land. Then the 3rd tank start leaning it out and do some full power climb outs. Try and keep it a bit rich/cool. By the 5th tank you should be "dialed in" with tuning.

All the helicopter setups are basically the same if you look in the Finless Bob tech room there are some radio setup videos that will be helpful and informative.

I have the TT starter set and I love it.

Engine braking http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=finless/trex600_nitro&filename=breakin.wmv

It will not come with a "how to fly" manual

You will probably able to write a "how to crash" like all of us!

Wow!

I've never seen that TT field box thing. That's awesome. Might have to look for one of those.

I have tried to mess with the co pilot things before as well, and ended up crashing some other guys heli after he assured me 1,000 times that you couldn't crash it with the co pilot activated. I would just spend extra time on the sim.

The radio setup would be much easier to explain if you could talk face to face with an experienced pilot, and he could show you how to do it. There really is no better way than that.

As far as break in, I am with Dan on that, light hovering for about three minutes and land for a minute or so, then do it again. This works out well for someone just learning, since that is pretty much what you will do anyway. After that I would fly easy for a gallon or so on the OS. They break in pretty fast. On a Webra, it could take 10 gallons. Usually the engine will let you know when it is breaking in well, since it becomes more efficient and the mixture will start going rich gradually. Keep it slightly rich and you will do fine. The important thing is to NEVER run it lean during the break in period.

Best of luck to you.
