View Full Version : ELEVTOR input gives a bit AILERON input, is that possible?

Hi,

I have a weird problem. After a very long time, I now begin to doubt my transmitter (Futaba 9C Super)

I'm having problems with my heli's (120 eCCPM). When I move forward (ELEVATOR) the heli seems to steer a bit to the left (AILERON), so forward-left. When I move backwards (ELEVATOR) the heli seems to steer a bit to the right (AILERON), so backwards-right.

I thought this had to do with my heli, not leveled or etc. But I now have a brand new heli (T-Rex 450SE V2) and I have the same problem. I also changed to 2.4GHz FASST recently, so the module couldnt' be the case.

Is it possible that the stick sensors are a bit of?

Could be the phasing

Align the flybar down the boom
Move the elevator forward/backward while holding the paddle
If you feel any tendancy for the paddle to turn then you phasing is out
Turn the radius block on the main mast to correct this
You need to align the elevator swash ball with the inner swash ball correctly

I agree, it appears that whatever controls the phasing on the trex head slipped. Happened alot with the plastic radius block on the EVO's

Thanks for the good advice.

Only one question...what do you mean with radius block on the main mast?

I will check it as soon as possible or as soon as I get the change to fly again. I'll let you know.

I dont have one but most heads have a collar with two metal pins sticking down. The washout base (about half way up the main shaft with two arms mounted on it) slides up and down and those pins keep it aligned. That collar is adjustable in most cases.

The quick check is to line the flybar up with the center of the tail boom and look at the swash plate, do the inner balls line up with the outter balls?

I checked it. This collar is not adjustable. I lined the flybar with the tail boom. When I move to forward cyclic, My paddles do not move. I believe the inner balls line up with the outer balls, but I'm not sure.
