Guys,

Question about setting up the elevator linkage for an evo 50 with a 9252. I'm using the large disc and futaba horn template to get a perfect 9.5 mm hole from screw end to the horns center. The problem is that with both linkages measured exactly at 49 mm from servo to x-lever, and 32.5 mm from xlever to the torque lever I get binding from the bottom linkage with the 2 degree offset factored in. The x & torque levers are positioned vertically per the diagram , sub trim and trims are at 0 with end points at 100%. The bottom link is a few millimeters off producing the binding. I tried using the futaba x horn with the inner hole being closer to 9.5mm from center to screw end yet that's too tight for the rod end. Next step up is 11 or something
like that which I assumed was producing the tightness yet even with the disc I'm getting the same sort of results. I think in the past I've just been forcing the links on

CAUSE I'M FREAKING DANGEROUS LIKE THAT!!! :)

I'm I missing something here?

Travis

Think I figured this out. Adjusted the linkages from servo to X-Lever at the high end of the range given in the manual (51 mm) suddenly, the world made sense again.

Glad you solved your problem. I didn't feel qualified to help. :o

And thanks for the link. I'm going to be going through mine in the near future and will take a look at this offset thing. I don't "think" I have any binding at the moment but it wouldn't surprise me if I did. This was the first push pull heli I built from kit.

If you wind up using the disc arms you may want to buy the template (#2 version I think). Really helps out.
