We all know by now that vibration is the standard of all gas, nitro and even electric helis, Please why not motor mounts like on cars and the like? nobody has written or talked on the subject, why not? How can we isolate the engine? ive used some hushmat audio material and have great results, but lets hear from the experts because i know that this subject is always on their mind..

I've been flying a century hawk for a while. My last crash was a radio problem, so just in the last couple of weeks I rebuilt my hawk pro and found out I had a huge wobble. The problem turned out to be the new woodies I through on. I went through three sets of new blades. They all were out of balance and weight. So yes vibrations are everywhere.
As far as engine isolators, it would have to be some pretty tough rubber dampners just for the very fact of gearing tolerances and if one of the dampners failed you would have some catastrophic gears exploding. the system as a whole would have to be on the same dampner so it all moves as one unit.

didnt think of that for some reason but makes perfect logic that everything would have to be on the same line to mesh together. Maybe like a engine trany, drive train exc.

It CAN be done, but it's not easy. The entire drive train has to be redesigned and changed with vibration mounting of the engine, and then a belt drive system from the engine clutch to the helicopter transmission.
All that will greatly reduce the vibrations from the engine into the heli frame, but it's expensive, and takes more space, which makes the heli larger and heavier.
