Hi all,

first of all let me say that as a new user to this forum I am very very grateful and impressed with the wealth and quality of the information here. Especially Finless' videos have helped me no end to put my ep550 together, as this is my first heli. It had it first flight (and quite a good one) last weekend, just doing about a half hour of hovering was great fun. I'm glad I got 3300mAh packs as they allow 9mins hovering with the 1100 kv motor, they were pulling only 17A max so there's some safety in that too...
Anyway, when checking the bird afterwards I noticed a little slack in the flybar (it's solid at right angles, and is aligned securely also), so that it can move probably about 0.5-1 mm back and forth along the flybar. I hadn't noticed this before the flight, but it may have been there before already. The seesaw itself it rocksolid, it's just that the flybar can slide though the seesaw...
Is this critical? I have a new seesaw so could replace it but if the consensus is that this is ok then I will leave it.

Well, gotta wait for some better weather now - can't wait to
get the heli up again.

Greetings from Germany,

Kai.

If I understand you correctly, I have the same thing. I have the Gaui metal head, and the block that goes around the head and holds the flybar is just a scosh too big. The result is the flybar can shift back and forth a hair. I'm not going to worry about it too much. My first flight will be in about an hour, so I'll let you know if it blows up or something. :)

My metal head has it too. Did not seem to affect fly performance at all.

I had the same play im my cage also. I also had a high frequency vibe also. I went thru the whole heli and found everything else was ok. I shimmed it and the problem improved. Heres the problem. mine neede 3 shims , 2 on oneside and 1 on the other. And i didnt want to do this so i used 4 shims. I sat there rubbing back the shims on emery paper until they fit perfectly. And yes , you do sand down your finger tips at the same time. The results ar as follows
1. vibe is now almost unoticeable
2.my dumb thumbs are now numb thumbs
