Hi Guys,

I have a few bigger helis, but decided to get a Blade CX2 to practise nose in as well as some fun indoor flying.

I'm charging the battery. How long can you fly, so that you don't drill the pack below the 20% mark? Also, how long should the first few flights be, to prolong the LIPO life?

Keep the first few flights to like 3 minutes. I suggest this with ANY lipo myself. Afterwards when charging monitor how many Mah you are putting back in then extend your flying time to the 80% rule.

Thanks.
Problem is, the eFlight charger doesn't show the Mah it's putting back in... and my big Lipo charger doesn't support the 2 cell battery. :(

Well that is sad. Do you have a voltmeter then you could hook up and make sure you do not go below 6.6 volts ;)

I have been flying My CX2 for about 10 months, I use the stock charger, and I jut let them charge till the light goes out. My first few flts I fleww VERY conservitavly, after I got used to it I fly them till it wont get off the ground and then stick them in the fridge to cool and slap them on the charger. I have to cool mine because of the Outside temps I fly in, I average 120 in the summer. I get about 11-12 minutes on mt stock E-flite batts that I have had since I started and on my DN, I get 13-15 minutes, but I also have the 180 ballbearing motors. I hope this anwers some questions that you have.

After I have stated to charge my 2S800 packs for the CX2 with my "professional" Hyperion charger, I get a lot more flying time out of my batteries. The stock charger does not balance the batteries "good enough" in my opinion. First time I charged the E-flite battery, it took the Hyperion charger more than 65 minutes to balance (and charge) the battery

Thanks guys.. I feel that I am losing power after 4 minutes, but that was my second flight.. Does the battery life extend as the battery gets used a bit?

The 180 engine - does it extend flight times? Or is it just more powerful?

I'm waiting for an adaptor board for my Cellpro 4S charger, to charge my E-FLite battery... until them, I'm jammed with my e-flite charger...

I was thinking of getting another battery, but it's a mission to keep changing batteries, and it might add wear and tear to the battery holder on the heli...

I have read several places that Li-Po batteries have to be "run in" before they perform their best.

yes you want 4-5 light cycles on them before running them hard.

The other option would be to buy a "good" lipoly and charger.
