Hi everyone.. (especialy the pro ones ..)

I have noticed that my skids are not balanced. when placing the heli on a table you can see that one skid is lower and the heli is leaning toword one side.

At first I gae it no attention but now I raise a question to you all:

One of two things may happend when I take off:

1. The second the skids leave the ground and the heli will be hanged in the air it will center itself and beside the little bump (not so little for a beginner) everything should be back to normal.

2. The heli will start its flight as if the aileron is set aside and should drift to the side.

Which is right ?
Should it realy matter ?

(..yes ..:o .. I'm replacing the skids but this is for my understanding)

the way i understand it is, the heli (if your behind it, tail in) will tend to slide to the left from the torque/rotor wash (or something that i can't seem to put into words) and you'll have to add right cyclic to compensate and to lift off straight.

Some people shim thier skids just for that reason and istand is correct, its called translating tendency. I wonder if someone built it into the design. What kit?

Hi,
Although my heli was bought 2nd hand I'm pretty much sure they were not build like that.
This is a link to what I think was installed there:
(seems to be prefectly balanced .. don't you think ? )

Well actualy I think it looks like the right front side is lifted a little of the ground (like a table with one leg too short) and my heli is like that, and I'm interested in getting an answer to what this could cause too ;)
