Anybody know - can you leave the Rx/gain connection to these gyros disconnected and adjust the gain manually to a setting you like, say 90%? I never change gyro gain in the air and I've got the 401 on the T600 tied to the 4th servo output on the AP2000i using a fixed trim setting derived from a dummy servo (following Mark's method). But with the Vario 4-servo 90 degree CCPM swash, I'm going to lose that channel.
Thanks!

nope. the gain channel must be hooked up or it just receives no instruction and goes (IME) to full 100% gain, AKA wags like hell.
you could downgrade slightly to a GY240 and get your channel back that way. i've got a used one i can make you a deal on. PM me if interested.

cudaboy_71, thanks for that info! I've already got 2 DX7's and I was hoping to get away with not having to upgrade to 9 channels. Oh well. Thanks for the offer on the gyro - both Varios have 601's, so I'll probably stick with them.
