Throttle and pitch curve for the 3DX500

Hi to all

My 3DX500 was arrived and assemled. I adjust the CCPM and head according to Finless Trex videos. My next job was checking the CCPM interaction and then setting the throttle and pitch curve for hover. I am a beginner pilot so my first task is the hover. Please advice me a good throttle and pitch curve by taking into acount motor heating. Thank you very much.

We would need to know what the motor kv is,pinion , and battery you are running to better judge that.

I am still doing hover and slow translation with my 3DX500 (stock motor 870KV and 24T pinion).
I use a 3S 5000mAh LiPo and fly time is about 12 min, motor remains cold.
With a 4S the motor temp is about 45°C after 3 or 4 min.
Radio : Futaba T6EX 12.4Gig.
SWSH : 60% (elev, aileron & pitch). I have -12° at 0% and 12° at 100%.
Throttle : 0-30-80-90-100
Pitch : 40-50-60-70-80.

Thank you for the helps. My config as follows;

Motor: Stock 890 kv motor
pinion: Stock 24
ESC: 55 A without BEC
BEC: 5-6 volt Himodel 3A BEC
Battery: 4S 2200 mah xtreme power (bad chineese lipo)

I think I need a better battery. What is your advice. 3S with large mah or 4S with medium mah. I amwaiting your valuable supports.

It depends what you want - a 4S will give you more power, but a large 3S will give you less power (you will probably need to change your throttle curve and perhaps your pinion) but possibly longer flight times.

Why not try a larger 4S - I have 3 x 2200 4S lipos and one 3200 4S - I get much longer flights on the 3200
