I am contemplating replacing my current 1,000mAH 2S1P battery plus Gaui BEC with a HV BEC - probably a Dimension SportBEC. If I were to do this would I simply put it across one of the batteries or after they are joined up to make 22 volts (the SportBEC is rated up to 33V) ?.
What are you guys using ?
Cheers,
Mike.

You can do it either way. I THINK mine is wired across both.

I made mine removable by using two deans connectors... Male & female, wiring the bec to them and inserting between the ESC and batts. it can just be unplugged from both for removal...

IIRC there is info on that on teh Castle site.
What I do is wire some smaller guage wire into the main Deans, and then use a mini Deans to hook the BEC to those wires. This allows me to power the BEC separately for setup.

Don't mind the tape job... I soldered two heavy wires between the maile and female, then soldered the smaller regulator/BEC wires to one of the deans...wrapped it with tape and it just plugs in to both the batts and ESC and powers the volt reg and rcvr.
Hope the pic helps.
