Here she is partially built, requires electronics and it should be good to go.

I heard the motor OD is wrong (too big). What's the deal? Looks like it went in to me.

It was motor can CNC wrong and they found before production! but notthing wrong with first batch been ship out.
Again, We never said first batch got motor problem, it's rumors if you heard someone said first batch motor got problem.
It just made wrong size of motor can and align found out before production and re-making those can, that's the reason caused shipment delay and we try explain to our dealer!

Dude, Andy, chill bro, we aren't bangin' on ya for a little machining error or shipment delay, look at what the Aurora fans have had to live with. I'm sure you're under pressure, but seriously, it's cool. But thanks for the info man.
I'm sure everyone who wants one will get one soon enough. Everyone take a chill pill, and a deep breath, and say together "It's not the Aurora syndrome, it's just a little delay".

I hear ya fogger! There was no bashin' intended. Just wondering what the deal was.
I had read somewhere else on HF that there was a delay because of the OD of the motor can. Looks like Jason's went together no problem, so the question was asked.
It's nice to see Andy stays in touch with us. Thanks.

hey kevin, since you were so gracious to let me fly your flybarless 600, when i see you and if you haven't flown it and are up to it, my 500 is yours for a flight :)

no, that was a "bob finless" style, of "whats in the box". b/c bob posted one already, no need for mine unless you want to watch it (youtube, search align 500)
video will be this weekend when i can finish it and get her ready. :happyd

Got it, thanks for the path to it
So, what are you going to use for cyclic/tail servos?

kevin, it is a long haul for you i know, but i will be going to the schc funfly in tijunga where victor can take video of the first few flights this sunday. morning preferred around 8:30-2pm. you can take it for as many flights as you have batteries for.
btw, i can say the same thing about you letting me fly your flybarless 600E, that was a scary thing :D
anyways, if you do come, and you want to fly, bring batteries! i unfortunately only have one set for the time being until kong power comes out with there pack which should be soon.

setup is 3400g cyclic, 401 gyro and 3400g tail. ar7000 rx, 2 kong power 3cell 2200mah packs series.
i want to keep it as light as possible.

Sounds good Jason, I will be eagerly awaiting your flight video. Are you using a simple Y-adapter to connect the two 3S packs?

Jason,
If you want it light as possible then I would change the ar7000 to ar6200. Also I know you are sponsored by Kong Power, but I would try a pair of FP Evolites 3s 2500mah a couple grams less than kingpower but more mah (less max current however).
Also any reason why you are using a 401? G770 is a far better gyro.
Thanks.

i would love to try them all and i will eventually. for now, i stripped my trex 450 for items so i can get the 500 going :D
yes, i will be using a simple Y connector for the batteries to put them in series. this of course is temporary until kong powers comes out with their dedicated 6s 2_00mah pack for the 500.
lots of setup options, i hope to try alot of them so i could let you guys know so you can save in the end and have something ready to rock and roll!

This is the stuff I like to see. Props to you Jason, it looks like the ones who are getting the kits first are the ones with the best intentions!
Edit: I forgot one thing. It is MANDATORY that you perform some autos with video footage! :P

Yea I am debating on whether going with a GY401 or G770 for my 500..I have a 6100T on my 600N and want a similar feel (Almost) for the tail without getting another 6100T..I know the GY401 isnt going to be exactly like my 6100T but is the 770 that much better then the GY401..Also is there anyway to buy the 770 without the 8900G tail servo?..
Thanks

I've never used the 6100T, however the G770 is much better gyro than 401. The piros are much more consistant unlike the 401. Setup time on the 770 is a lil bit longer since there is more steps atvs, expo , and d/r need to be setup, but it is covered on the setup sheet included.
The G770 is sold by itself and retails for 159.99. I would pair it with a 3400g as using a full size tail servo on the 500 seems overkill and they are heavier too.
Thanks.

Hi Jason,
Do you think hs 82MGs good enough for cyclics? Are they a good fit into the frame or mod needed?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Rich

The kit includes the required hardware to install the hitec 82's and the required servo arms (for the hs-82mg) are included as well.
