Does anyone know if there is a modification to do to put the ys50st in titan? Are is it a direct drop in.

That's not quite true....., unless the frame and engine mount have changed since I did mine....

First, the engine mount. The crankcase is a little larger on the YS at the "bottom" end so you will need to take a half round file and make two grooves - one either side. It's not a lot, and its easy to miss it but if you don't do this then as you clamp up the engine mount screws, you will be distorting the crankcase slightly. Took me about 10 minutes of filing.

Next, the frame. The carb barrel is a little larger and further forward on the YS so you really need to cut away some plastic. Again, just takes about 10 minutes with a half round file.

I read somewhere that someone found it necessary to ovalize the frame mounting holes t let the engine sit down a little lower but it wasn't necessary for mine.

Because of the slightly different carb position, you will probably need to adjust your linkage...but then you were probably going to do that anyway.

Other points such as muffler fitting, fan and clutch should be identical to an OS.

You will also need to re-arrange your plumbing for the pressurized tank system and it is easier to get to the top of the tank while the engine is still out.

Don't forget, you'll need to plug off the muffler pressure nipple.

I had some teething problems settling my engine in, but it is running sweet now. ENJOY!!

I stand corrected, I've only seen it installed and there didn't appear to be any mods.
