I have been looking to purchase a high quality gasser kit. In reading all your posts it looks like the Bergen machines are excellent quality. However, how are the kit instructions and parts quality. Would you recommend a the intrepid EB or the standard intrepid. One last question, does anyone know of a Bergen field rep I could contact? Thanks for the advice :D

Lets answer your questions one at a time
1 The quality of the Bergen kits are without doubt high quality
2 as long as you follow the instructions you will have no problem at all
3 I would recomend the EB as it is an exellent choice for all aspects of flying, This is the airframe I used when doing the Bergen Turbine conversion.
4 as far as a rep you can PM me and I will send my phone number also Chris Bergen is reularly on this forum as well as Malorie,Gregg Alderman, Wolfdad as well as myself and would be glad to help anyway we can.

This is the first big heli I have ever assembelled at it was easy to wat I was expecting. I had gary look over it and not to much to do. I went ahead and go the EB for the better tail gears but run 710 blades. I have not flown a regular so I can not say but the eb is more stable with the longer tail and bigger blades.
Here is a list I got from the bergen web site
Field Reps

Larry Chapman - Howe, Indiana
Chris Doerr - Danville, Kentucky
Chuck Birt - Commerce City, Colorado
Mike Smith - Chatsworth, California
Tom Knight - London, Ontario - Canada
Will James - www.helifreak.com
Greg Alderman - Alexandria, Virginia

Sponsored Pilots

Kevin Targett - Fetcham, Surrey - U.K.
Malorie Zastrow - PawPaw, Michigan
Gary Travis - Sandy, Utah

Just finished putting an Intrepid EB Gasser together and got a little bit of time on it. Certainly pay attention to the manual very closely. And if you get stuck anywhere you know you can contact a rep or post here and get a response, the guys are very helpfull.

I'm new to gassers so I've called Bergen R/C directly a couple of times and spoke with Larry, very helpfull, friendly and he won't hold back on details or scurry you away. This kind of communications has definetly built my support of them and their product.

Thanks Gary. The information you provided has sold me on the Bergen. I plan to order the Intrepid EB in the next few weeks. Brian
