These are great, thank you. The idle sound on the nitro is amazing now! Not so sure about the heli_50glow_mid, it has a annoying rattle to it... But I'll leave it on for now. The blade flap sounds are still not right, but maybe that's just because of the sound engine or something in phoenix... Think you could do this for the Trex 450 model? They also sound compressed... Specially the wind one...

Just something to note if you want to use a sound file of your own for example from another Sim ensure the WAV file is converted to 44100 hz 16bit mono or it will not work. I use Nero wav editor but back the file up first if it crashes you will loose your file.
Good work Devin  we will sort these Sims out !

Is there a way for you to explain how to install these sound files and the other things you have going on to a computer dummy ?? Maybe Finless could do a video ?? :thumbs-up2:

1. There are 2 zip files. Download fixed version from post # 17 above.
2. Use instruction for "PhoenixRC_resources_soundEffects_helicopters.zip" in post #1 in this thread.
3. Use instruction for "PhoenixRC_resources_soundEffects_misc_wind_sound.z ip" in post#2 in this thread.
4. Note that info in post #1 and #2, and try to find someone can help u direct in front of your computer, this thing can mess your Phoenix soft if not doing by a power user, sorry.
PS: Backup first,... and replace the file with the file extracted from 2 zip file above, and try PM Glenn here, may be someone with better English can help you, sorry, since i've bad English here.
Cheers.

OK thanks...I have the files downloaded and unzipped....but I don't know how to do the "Back up and replace" portion. Maybe I should just leave it alone.:DOH:dontknow
Hi, is it possible to change a heli sound type? I have a el raptor and was wondering if it is possible to put electric sound to it rather than the default IC sounds?

You cant use the default file that comes up when extracting.File should have slashes not underscores. When you extract the files click browse and navigate to c drive, program files, phoenix, resources, and so forth. Your basically not extracting to the correct file. I do believe this is the problem. good luck, hope it works for you.

Dave, the unzipped file have same name with original file. To do is "replace" the original file with the unzipped file from me in folder that Bill aka WJackson said in above post.
Better if you just not "replace" the original file without "backup" the original file. For backup, make your original folder "everywhere" in your computer, eg; in your desktop, all original file that you got to replace, with just "copy" it.
Hope its clear know.
Cheers.
