View Full Version : Beta 1.05 bug report - water reflections

The new water reflections are really nice, but some models have "reversed" textures in the water... I'm guessing the view-matrix for the reflected image affects the texture coordinates in an unintended way. Not all models are affected equally, the Cap 232 and Pitts have reversed upper/lower wing textures, while the yak seems to be unaffected.

See attached images for examples...

BTW graphics card is 8800GT, driver 169.09

This wasn't fixed in 1.05c, so I sent an email to support. I think I have determined the cause, reversed polygon winding causing backfaces to show. Should be an easy fix.

My phoenix crashes every time i open it since i changed the sound type to Direct SOund, anyone having this issue ?

Reflection bug fixed with latest download. Sound issue: restore original sound files if you have modded them.

The reflections simply do not work at all on my setup but I suspect its down to the ATI Radeon 9200 card I am using. The medium/high quality water is greyed out. Anybody else got this ?

It works fine on my ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro AGP, but my card is at least one generation back from your 9200 though...
