MA Open TR Gearbox Warrenty by MA

I know there has been some problems and some have posted this but the FIX does not have it's own topic. Now it does.

My two went in the mail to be fixed today.

The deal

OK, I have the word as of this morning. All Spectra G open gear boxes should have the TR shaft and gears replaced. Send the box to MA and they will warranty both as soon as the new shafts come in. If you have an open gear box on ANY other model, you can send it in for gear only replacement under warranty. The new gears are gray in color. The black gears should not be flown in any moderate to high stress application and should be changed out as soon as possible for all TRs.
All new kits will have the new shafts included. If the kit has already been shipped, the open TR should be sent back for update which should be very quick once the shafts come in.

That's absolutely correct! They in the process of replacing all shafts and gears for the open TR box. I talked with them today, mine will be there on Monday. Thanks for the support MA.

Yeah its not good that we need to read about these things on the forums and not here them from the manufacturers sites. That said my open case went in about 2 weeks ago for the update.

I shipped mine tues last week express post and MA got my tail Friday...Cindy called me Monday morning and I had it shipped UPS express, I got it on Tues... Florida to British Columbia in one day! Had it back together Tues night, was only down for a week...just got in from flying and all is sweeeeet!

how is everyone likeing the new tail gears and new shafts....few flights on mine and all seams well....any good or bad news on them????? :wink:

Crap, I haven't seen mine in almost 6 weeks! :shock: Hope it comes in soon. :D

Just saw a post on another TR shaft failure and that there is a newer fix out with no hole/rollpin setup used.

KEEP mine till the fix is fixed MA. :D I don't want my sweet gasser hitting the ground unless I dumb thumb it! :shock:
