bandit release date and price

Has anyone heard when the release date will be for the Bandit 450 and how much the kit will approximately go for? I think I have found my next heli...... WOOT :D :) ;)

Some folks had a hope of an end of year release but in MA Tim's own words, "I have been in the helicopter business a long time. I do not think that is happening".

I saw Kyle Stacey and Nick Maxwell ringin' out the new Bandits at E-Fest this weekend. Eeeesh those things are super fast and super smooth you never hear the usual grinding and aching you get from most birds given a severe beating like that. The drive train just never sounds taxed. I have video but most of it was just too fast for my amateur video skills to keep in frame. But I am sure the good stuff is already posted somewhere anyway. I would Definitely buy one. We talked to Tim from MA there and he said price will be within $20 bucks of a T-Rex with a motor, ESC , Battery. Nick and Kyle were running Scorpion motors and that is also what is supposed to be going out with the kits. If I don't get the Bandit I am at least getting a Scorpion motor for my T-Rex. He also said parts price will be the same or less than the the T-Rex. I just dumped a bunch of money on my T-Rex before the weekend. I wish I hadn't. I would have spent it on a Bandit 450. As far as the exact release date all he said was real soon.

I heard from a realiable source this weekend out at the field about the bandit and he said they are hoping to have it ready in the next month or two.

Like anything else I'll keep my fingers crossed that it comes out in the next month or two but won't get my hopes up.

BUT...

I prefer manufacturers WAIT anyway and have the kit right... plus EVERYTHING in the box when you get it. Some folks have dropped the ball on that before. ;)

I remember waiting SO LONG for the Razor 600E. It seems they are a bit too hasty in releasing availabilty dates IMO. I wish Tim or someone that was an "official" MA person would make these dates known to us rather than the field reps making educated guesses all the time.
Mind you, I know everyone is doing the best they can and are very honest in what they say. It just causes lots of misinformation to be spread around and makes MA look a bit on the "Avant" side of things. Having said that, MA could/would NEVER be that bad!! LOL
