I am looking for my first scale (semi scale) project. I have settled on the Vario Bell 205 and model it after the LA County Fire Department helicopters (as much as my newbiness can). I am waiting for Joe at East Coast scale to reply to an e-mail I sent him about the Benzin mechanics fitting this fuselage.

In the meantime, I have been looking at the Predator gasser for a while and was wondering how tough it would be to fit these mechanics in the Vario Bell 205 fuselage. I am new to scale building, but I have done modeling in the past, so if the modifications are not too tough, I am sure I can manage it.

Does anyone have any information about the predator mechanics and Vario fueselages, particularly the Bell 205?

I could always go with a Century fuselage, but the Predator does not have that may available that fit it without modifications anyway.

On a side note, will the Benzin mechanics be enough for the 205 or will I need to beef them up somehow?

Thanks for any help you can give me,

Steve

The Vario Benzin mechanics are made to haul this type of fuselage very nicely.... although I am sure that the Predator would fit, you will not have the same options that you do with a Benzin (I have 3 Benzin machines) There are speacil blades that reguire special gearing and things of that nature.... I am sure that Joe will answer all of your questions....
Good Luck.... Stan
