Hiya..

5 flights on my Blade CX2 now, all stock... using DX7.

When I connect the battery, the red light comes on. I quickly put it down and allow the gyro to arm... flashes a few times, then goes stable green for 2 seconds, then flashes green slowly.. on... off... on.. off, for around 10 seconds, then goes solid green.

While it's flashing green, I can move the control surfaces, but not start the engine. Engine only comes alive when it goes stable green.

Is this normal?? This 10 second wait for throttle control? Or do I have something wrong/setup wrong?

Just an idea: Have you tried to perform the bind process again?

Thanks Carlo.
Is it to do with the DX7, as I notice a mate who has one and uses the stock TX, can fly a bit sooner after connecting the battery. His maybe flashes 4 times, and then goes solid, while mines is around 6 or 8 times.

Its the DX7, it has to do a search amongst all the 2.4 ghz frequencies ( there are thousands) and find 2 that are not being used, then it has to find the bound receiver and tell it to transmit on only those frequencies. After communication is established a few other minor things take place and the heli is ready to fly. The process is faster on the newest cx2's with the 6100E receiver, but in the end they both work very well.

As far as I know, there are only 80 channels (for us fliers) in the 2,4 GHz band.

I just finished setting up my DX7 for my CX2, I found I had to adjust my travel adjustment for low throttle to 115% with the trim set to the middle for the ESC to arm, perhaps your trim is just marginal so the ESC is not seeing a clear "throttle down"... you could quickly check by adjusting the trim more negative. If that works, reset the trim tab to "center" then go into the settings and set the travel adjustment for whatever works.

For a CX2, you should always have your throttle trim set all the way down. Not only will the 3-in-1 not arm if it doesn't see full negative throttle, but if you crash, you could burn up your ESC.

I am using the e-flite (eflh-1024) 4-in-1 / 2.4ghz receiver in my cp pro with my dx7 and I have to trim down my throttle as well before the unit will arm. I thought I was doing something wrong..

Also, I am having trouble with left rudder. Once head speed is up to hover speed, I can't seem to slow the tail rotor down enough.. I have it totally trimmed left and even with the stick pushed left, I can't seem to counter..

Turn the proportional pot on the 3 in 1, turn it only after you unplug the battery. Power it back up and see if you turned it the right way, adjust until you find the sweet spot.

I smashed the wife's laptop screen with the carbon blades on the CP pro and now I have to buy her a new machine. I guess while I am at it, i'll buy another H550 for me.. :)
