So i spoke to an Align Trex user today and he said trex main gear is not durable, how bout ark and helimax stuff?

Haven't worn one out on either bird yet. Crash damage, now that's another story-I'd have to say they're about the same when it comes to meetings with terra firma.
The main difference I've found is the Helimax mains are round, compared to the egg shaped units Align makes.

i've never had one fail, just due to crashes.
