I'm new in the helicopter part of the RC hobby and have a question about the servo's used for the Swashplate.

On the tail I want to fly a GY401 in combination with the Futaba S9650 digital servo's. For the other servo's i want to use three Futaba S3153 digital servo's. Would this be a good idea with the ESC that comes in the E325 Kit? Or is it better to use some non digital servo's for the swash movement? Because digital servo ask more current from your BEC?

Hope some one can help me in this.

If your new to this...,
I would go for non digital metal gear servos e.g. HS65MG.
I use them and like them very much.
Digital servos on the swash make sense if your doing full 3D and need the extra speed.
When you crash the heli with metal gear servos, they most likely survive it,
Digital servos with carbon or plastic gears will stripe for sure, can turn out expensive IMO..

Hehe,

This is fun indeed ...
Didn't realise at first we also meet elsewhere :DOH...
Great to see you guys over here too.
Many Dutch and Belgian heliflyers think Helifreak has the best RC-heli information worldwide,
because it's true i guess.

I use the Hitec 65MG's also. Can't go wrong on these. Tried some other servo's with nylon gears and eventually they WILL strip in even a minor crash (ask me how I know:lol:)

Inderdaad gezellig al die Hollanders:thumbup:

Only the video's of Bob White learned me allot about helicopters. Very interesting video's.

Now searching the forums for more good information :)
