1 x 9256
Actro 32-3, 18T

If you gonna do a mod, why not do it with style! (AMD heatsink bought at a computer store)
http://www.dacsa.net/heli/l600/cimg1626.jpg

QuickUK tailsetup, this tail will hold, slight gemetric offset so it aint perfect, but better then loosing a blade.
Obs, this has more space between the screws so running 92 blades will be like running 95 blades on the original)
http://www.dacsa.net/heli/l600/cimg1627.jpg

Obs that you still use this part from the logo, rest is T-rex, including brass collar
The brass part can be a tight fit, use a 5mm drillbit to make it go easy on the shaft.

Final result, after I painted the canopy I realized that I should have used a paper or something to get the lines straight, oh well, im sure it will be a next time....

what is the fromeco DC up,

Sound like you are running a BEC and powering the batts. directly from the main lipo. - is that the case. I am still getting used to all these different available electric options,

Thanks,
Jeff

DC-Up is a capacitor, it has power to keep the voltage up for a few seconds even if it drops during load.

Yes, BEC out of the main battery converts the 10s battery to 6v stable output for the RX/system

I just bought a pair of D-Cups (insert joke here). How did you attach those to the frames? Screws?

Nice canopy!

Where can you buy the DC-up in the USA, I don't se4e them anywhere including the Fromeco website.

Hehe,

I just used double sided tape, thats usually how I secure stuff, works well even in crashes, where you pick up the components laying on the ground next to the crashed heli.

Drop Fromeco a mail, its brand new, just released, not sure why they havent updated the web though. Im getting mine from Realraptors.co.uk.

Yeah, I read you have to give them a call. I did. Even though I carefully said "DC Up" to the nice sales lady, she read back "two D cups". I almost fell off my chair laughing!

MrMel,
Is the Uber BEC the same as the ultimate BEC?

Are you using a serial to usb converter for bluetooth?

MrMel

Yep, thats the same, gonna switch to WR 5amp bec later next week though.

I have one of those OLD v-bar units, so its using no converter.

Nice canopy! Though it's a shame to hide the heatsink.

My 600dx arrives Monday. Can't wait.

Can you provide more details on the heat sink (brand? model?) and whether you had to cut it down, etc.?

Very cool Fredrik, I am suprised you went with an 18 tooth pinion though. I did not get to tach mine on 19 before the big snow hit but it seemed to be a nice HS on 19...

RPM at low load: 2343 at 37 volt RPM at medium load: 2185 at 33,4 volt RPM at full load: 2027 at 32 volt

Dont know what your target is, but for me its 2150, keep it low with VStabi and gain alot of flighttime.

Jeremy,

Where did you find this heatsink?

Mel-

If you go with the WR 5amp BEC, you wont need the DC up, right?
Specs state it has a dual 10 amp diode.

I like to keep it as failsafe.

Looks good, don't think the quick hub is any necessary, I never had a tail come apart once, and I'm not treating em good at all! :) Long tailblades, HIGH headspeed, diggin them into the dirt and flying them badly bent with heavy vibes, no problems on this point

Thanks!, as discussed in another thread, Ive personally seen 3 failures, so I keep the QuickUK for ease of mind.

I'll have to check this HS out when it gets warm enough again, but I am pretty certain that in reality this HS is more like 19tooth from what I felt. Could be wrong but I know I have been told by a few pilots running this motor they needed to goto the 19 tooth to mask the fade off of lipos throughout the flight as well.
