hi guys

I was reading a few articles about various parts of the 600, I was reading up about dif gov and on this set up I have noticed that they have mounted the sensor out side the frame instead of inside above the hole in the fan shroud. It looks like they have cut a bigger hole in the fan shroud for this..

Have any of you set up your sensor like this ? does it work on the out side?

When I fitted mine I had to pull the engine out along with the bell housing just to fit the sensor, It does look loads better inside tho.

this is the link, let us know what you all think..

I see that the sensor can be bent round unlike the Gv-1 sensor which is solid.. It still looks poo..

I have the sensor for my Align governer on the outside. Thats how the manual says to mount it. I needed to drill a 6mm hole in the fan shroud, but by the time I covered the sensor wire in braid it looked just fine.

It wasnt too big a job to drop the motor and shroud, install the magnets and sensor, and pop the motor back in. Half an hour's work I guess.

I did my multigov on the outside so far so good and it will be easy to change later.

lol. I fitted mine inside... don't think the Gv-1 sensor would work on the out side..

my multigov sensor is on the outside just like is shown on the 600n mounting guide on the multigov site. no problems yet, i get 99% on the sensor test w/ roughly a 3mm gap.

i'm using a TJP on the outside just fine. it's nice to be able to service the sensor w/o having to pull the motor.

since the frame is designed for the GV1 sensor only, i found it to be dealer's choice on how to install any other gov. 30 seconds worth of dremel work on the fan shroud and everything else went as expected.

here's aerospire's (http://www.aerospire.com/trex600n_mount.html) detailed instructions.

Mine is exactly the same, been that way for many gallons. Looks fine, works great, what else do you need?
